A FINE CASED GUSTAVE YOUNG ENGRAVED COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER
Serial no. 91847 for 1859, .36 caliber. 7 1/2 inch barrel marked Address Sam’l Colt Hartford Ct. Barrel, rammer lug, frame, hammer and triggerguard/gripstrap engraved by Gustave Young with broad floral scrolls on a finely punched ground, the left side of the barrel incorporating a wolf’s head with open jaws. Cylinder with Colts Patent panel and serial number. Factory elephant ivory grips. Complete with Red velour-lined Colt casing, the partitioned interior containing, two cavity iron mould
This benefits from exemption as antique under section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended)
